<p>The packing container comprises a thin-walled plastics bottom portion to accommodate the contents, and with a peripheral flange at the top, onto which a lid fits, attached to the flange. The lid (3) has along one side an anchoring strip (6) for attachment to the flange (4), and a hinge is formed (5) between it and the strip, typically by a groove or rib, or alternatively by hinging links. The strip can be of plastics, sealed to the flange along one edge (4a), or of material such as cardboard, glued or clipped to it, and the lid can be a press-fit inside the opening of the bottom portion. Alternatively it can lie flat along the flange.</p> |
