<p>1530944 Transparent container inspection apparatus BARRY-WEHMILLER CO 1 Sept 1976 [22 Sept 1975] 36206/76 Heading G1A Transparent containers are inspected in apparatus which moves the containers in a circular path through a plurality of spaced inspection stations and, as a container reaches each station, generating a light beam which passes through the container and is directed by a stationary directing device to a scanning detector located adjacent the centre of the circular path and common to all inspection stations. The moving apparatus is such that the light beams of different inspection stations are generated sequentially. The containers are turned between stations so that each station views a different side of the container. The apparatus also comprises feed in and feed out conveyers and a reject conveyer. The moving apparatus comprises a rotary table carrying grippers which engage the necks of the containers and fixed cams which engage the grippers to open, shut and rotate them.</p> |
