<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an air purifier which can be used in a room by making dust in air into ionized fine particles by corona discharge, removing the ionized fine particles by an electric dust collecting apparatus, and removing ozone which is produced in corona discharging process by an ozone removing apparatus. CONSTITUTION:An air passing route 8 of a case 1 is so formed as to connect air flow inlet 4 and air discharging outlet 6 formed in the case 1. Air is sucked through the air flow inlet 4 by a fan 9 installed in the air passing route 8 and discharged from the air discharging outlet 6. An electric dust collecting apparatus 13 by corona discharge is also installed in the air passing route 8. Furthermore, an ozone removing apparatus 25 is composed of a corona filter 29 installed in the down stream of the air passing route 8 of the electric dust collecting apparatus 13 and an electric voltage applying apparatus 19 installed in the case 1 to apply a prescribed positive low electric voltage to the carbon filter 29. As a result, ozone produced in the electric dust collecting apparatus is efficiently removed and an air purifier usable with safety in a room is thus obtained.</p> |
