Seal fitting system to beer keg valve - uses thruster acting on seal between inner and outer edges

The system is used to fit a flexible annular sealing ring (12) in the closing valve mechanism of a beer keg etc. to be emptied with the aid of gas under pressure. The ring is aligned with the annular opening (11) at the top of the valve mechanism housing, through which it is inserted by means of a thruster (18) acting on it between its inner and outer edges, pushing back the barrier (10) in the opening in the process. The tool used can comprise a cylindrical housing (13) inside which a punch (20) slides in the axial direction, this comprising a cylindrical outer housing inside which a central pin (20b) slides, the ring being aligned by a boss (17) over which it fits, on the pin end protruding from the housing, into which it can be thrust in opposition to a spring (15). The forward end of the cylindrical housing, and which acts against the ring, is of reduced external diameter.
