A miniature potentiometer which consists of a resistance coil, a collector element and a guide screw, a brush flexibly fitted to the guide screw and a terminal at each end of the resistance coil. The terminal elements (34, 36) are made with limbs which extend through separate holes in the housing (10). The wall surfaces of the holes are in the form of an arc and guide the limbs during the assembly. The limbs are made with a thickened section which come into contact with the surface of the wall to stabilise the limb. There is a semicircular section (86) to the terminal bracket which comes into contact with the resistance, element. The wiper makes contact on the top side of the resistance element.
