<p>The lighter is fitted with a discharge nozzle (17) which is spring loaded with a helical spring (19). The base of the nozzle has a valve (16) which closes onto the seat (13). The gas passes through the passage (14) into the annulus around the nozzle body, and through a side passage (6) in the body. Gas from the reservoir reaches the nozzle through the inlet passage (27) which allows gas into the annulus (11) and through the filter pad (23). The annulus is sealed from the base by an 'O' ring. Flow of gas is stopped when the nozzle is depressed against the spring.</p> |
