<p>The work bench for a dental mechanic is designed like an office desk, with drawers, and has a grinding unit (1) mounted on its top. This incorporates a high frequency electric motor and spindle enclosed by a common housing, with the grinding wheel at the end of the spindle, all in line. The whole can be removed from the frame. The unit is secured by an attachment (9) permitting adjustment by an arm (12) at one end. Another arm (19) at that end is used to tension the grinding wheel on the spindle. Alongside this unit is another grinding or drilling unit mounted on the work surface, which can also use a high speed electric dental drill.</p> |
