<p>Animals in a flock or herd are individually identified readily by a three colour marking system. One colour is alloted to each of the numbers from 0 to 9. An identification chart carries the colours and their corresponding numbers. Each animal in the herd has a collar on which its three identifying colours are marked, corresponding to a three figure number which is ascertained from the chart. This system of marking permits individual animals to be readily and positively identified from a distance.</p> |
