<p>The machine has a cylindrical casing with a vertical extension (1). A central shaft (15) carries an eccentric rotor (16). A vane (21) sliding in a slot in the vertical section of the casing presses on the rotor and divides the space (14) between it and the casing into suction (19) and delivery (20) chambers. A rotary valve (6) in a diametral bore in the vertical section reverses the connections of the inlet and discharge passages (13, 12). The rotor carries a bearing ring (17) round its circumference which is free to roll round the rotor. There is a second bearing ring (18) round the outside of this. The outer ring (18) rolls on the inside of the cylinder.</p> |
