<p>The component is placed on a conveyor near the side of the latter, so as to bring the flat face to bear against a flat support plate inclined at least 22[deg.] to the vertical and running along the conveyor parallel to the plane of the cut by the saw blade. The conveyor is at right angles to this plane. The distance between the support plate (4) and the plane of the cut is set to give the desired sawn thickness. The saw cut is made and the products separated by gravity, the finished article remaining on the conveyor and against the support plate, while the offcut slides over its sawn face onto sloping guides.</p> |
