The concealed socket, is designed for use with electrical equipment. It has a support frame for holding the connection assembly, a tension relief device, a removable cover and if necessary spreader retaining arms. The cover (2) has lugs that locate into recesses beneath the top of the support frame (1) and hold the cover to the frame so that the latter is completely closed. At least one of the lugs is flexible. The cable may be led in through a hole in the frame or cover.
