<p>The invention relates to a method for heating and controlling the surface temperature of a rotating cylindrical textile drum in a sublimatic printing process. The drum consists of a fixed member located on the central axis of the drum and a plurality of separate heating coils connected longitudinally along the fixed member. The method comprises, sensing the temperature of the outer periphery of the drum with a plurality of heat sensing devices located outside the drum and contacting the outer periphery of the drum. The method further includes the step of controlling the current to each separate heating coil by means controlled by the heat sensing device associated with the respective heating coils in accordance with the temperature at the outer periphery of the drum.</p> |
