The valve has a cylindrical bore (3) closed at one end (4) and containing guide rings (5) at the closed end. The opposite end is fitted with an electro-magnet (7) located under the cover (8) which also carries the connections (9). The electro-magnet has a soft iron core (10) inside the coil (11) which is wired to the connections (9). The magnet operates the spindle valve (45) acting against the return spring (38) mounted centrally on the electro-magnet. The valve has two seats (27) and (28) so that one of the double valves is always opened and one always closed. The inlet connection (30) can be joined to the outlet (29) or (31) by actuation of the magnet.
