<p>Guide for different widths of recording surfaces (1) in a typewriter, has side teleprinter etc. stops (7) adjustable to the particular width. The recording surface usually paper is located between two side stops (6, 7) one (7) of which can move along a guide rail (8). A tensioning device e.g a cable passes round a guide roller (10) and has one end connected to the adjustable side stop while its other end is attached to the machine housing. A pressure roller (3) in a sliding block (11) is spring loaded (4) in one direction and carries the guide roller (10) for the cable.</p> |
