The tipper lorry, is designed to have a gross weight of 300 tonnes, with a load capacity of about 200 tonnes. It has the driver's cabin (28) at the same end of the vehicle as the pivoting axle (30) for the tipping bucket enabling the lorry to be easily and accurately positioned before unloading. The lorry consists of a chasis, with at least four road wheels (2g, 2b) of which at least two are driven, and a tipping bucket pivoting about an axle situated at one end of the chassis above and behind the wheel axle at that end. The bottom of the bucket describes a circular arc when tipping and the cabin is positioned between the wheels inside this arc.
|
