A retaining cam projects on a contact face of each terminal housing at its end edge. A retaining recess open towards the end edge is provided on the opposite contact face of the terminal housing. Adjacent terminal housings can be connected together releasably in the longitudinal direction of the support bar by pivoting the retaining cam at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the support bar and engaging it in the retaining recess of the adjacent terminal housing. The retaining cam and recess follow a curved path above a terminal housing pivot point from the end edge to the centre of the housing.
