A printable article, as described in claim 1 of the principal patent, consists of a sheet of thermoplastic material carrying an adherent layer on >=1 of its faces. This layer consists essentially of >1 material (A) which can absorb inks, and >=1 solid binding material (B), the ratio of A:B being >2 pref. 2-10 partic. about 5. The improvement comprises adding to the absorbent layer of the thermoplastic material, in antistatic agent, partic. a quat ammonium salt. The material has an antistatic character which it does not lose as a result of simple friction.
