Vehicle distance guidance system for driver - uses pair of mirrors suitably marked to show driver space between vehicles by application of transparent overlay

The unit allows a vehicle driver to establish the distance between a vehicle and the vehicle in front to ensure that a safe distance can be held whilst both are in motion. The unit (1) houses double mirrors (2 and 3) accurately positioned relative to each other. The lower mirror (3) seen by the driver's eye is framed and marked with distance markers in the shape of triangles. These markers are made from a fluorescent material so that they can be seen at night. A transparent overlay which is marked to suit the type of tachometer with speed markings to line up with the distance marks, is affixed to the mirror. The whole unit is designed for fitting to an existing vehicle using a suction pad and ball joint mounting (4).
