PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition with little asphalt odor in its kneading operation and capable of vibration-damping materials having highly vibration- damping performance and moderate adhesive followability by incorporating a petroleum resin with asphalt and graphite at specified proportion. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprising (A) 100 pts.wt. of a petroleum resin, pref. isopropenyltoluene-based petroleum resin (pref. 80-140 deg.C in softening point) or aromatic petroleum resin (pref. 80-150 deg.C in softening point), (B) 100-500 (pref. 150-400) pts.wt. of asphalt, pref. fat-modified blown asphalt 20-30 in penetration and (C) 90-400 (pref. 140-300) pts.wt. of graphite. This composition can be obtained by kneading the component A with the component B at 80-200 (pref. 100-160) deg.C in a molten state followed by kneading the component C and, if needed, an antifoaming agent such as silicone oil at such weight ratio as B/C>1. |
