<p>A holder for a ball pen is in the form of a rectangular box with a sloping top. A socket is formed at the higher end to receive the ball pen (42). The mouth of the socket is formed by a washer with a curved inner surface which forms a guide to direct the pen (42) into the socket. This washer also acts as a retainer for a rubber washer with eight slots radiating from a small central hole. When the pen (42) is pushed through this central hole, the tongues formed between the slots are deflected inwards and press against the body of the pen to prevent the ingress of dust. A slot in the base makes a storage space for notepaper (39).</p> |
