Transformer or choke embedded in synthetic resin - has cooling channels and strip-shaped core mould covered by hose of silicone rubber

Transformer or choke coil winding is embedded in a synthetic resin, with circular or oval-shaped cooling channels inserted in a transverse plane. The channels form a crown between concentric winding sections. The core mould used for the cooling channels consists of a strip of the required cross-sectional shape and covered with an elastic hose. The crown of cooling channels is bounded on both sides by wound insulated tracks which can be permeated by synthetic resin. The elastic hose is pref. made from silicone rubber. The end of the strip has a thickened end piece which can be removed. The insulated tracks are pref. made from glass fibre fabric.
