PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint cover device for the ceiling capable of absorbing swinging motion without damaging, even if left and right buildings swing in the different longitudinal-lateral directions by an earthquake, while easily executing installation work.SOLUTION: A joint cover device 1 for the ceiling is constituted of a joint cover pushing-up part 5 provided in a side end part of a joint part 2 of a ceiling material 4 attached in a skeleton of a ceiling part of one building 3 of the left and right buildings 3, a fixed rail 6 fixed in a horizontal state to a portion above the joint cover pushing-up part 5, a slide rail 7 slidably attached in the horizontal direction on the fixed rail 6, a floating plate 10 whose lower part along the slide rail 7 is bent to the skeleton side of the ceiling part of the other building 3, a joint cover 12 whose rear end part is attached to a lower end part of the floating plate 10 via a hinge member 11 and whose tip part is in contact with the joint cover pushing-up part 5 of the ceiling material 4, and a joint cover horizontally maintaining mechanism 13 for keeping the joint cover 12 in a horizontal state. |
