<p>A temporary autocycle windscreen system comprises a flexible transparent screen with tubular borders which can be stiffened by inflation and which can be deployed when required from a container mounted in front of the handle bars. Opt. a sliding wire hoop provides additional support for the screen border. Opt. a secondary panel can also be erected and supported by light struts to provide overhead protection extruding back from the top of the screen. The storage windup mechanism may be motorised or manually operated. The transparent panel is pref. of polyethylene or polyester film. The screen is light and retraction under dry conditions can reduce wind resistance, improving fuel efficiency.</p> |
