<p>The air draining valve for the pressure regulator of a motor vehicle compressed air brake system, allows air to flow into atmosphere yet it protects the valve against entry of dirt and water. A flexible cap placed over the valve for this purpose, has a flexible weaker part and noise generation is suppressed. The flexible part (47) is a circular groove concentric with a hollow conical section (49). This flexible region forms a circular baffle area when the hollow conical piece is opened. The flexible seal (37) has a circular plate (48) concentric to the hollow conical section. The outside, lower edge (38) of the hollow cone (49) rim forms the closing element for the valve seat (35). The flexible region (48) is between the circular plate (48) and a tubular cylinder section (50).</p> |
