The device has a closed ring circuit (12-15) which passes through the mould (10) and in which are arranged a storage means (20) for latent heat, a recirculating pump (30), a heat exchanger (40) and a heater (50). All these units are monitored by a control unit (60). If the mould (10) is hot, the heat is fed via the heat transfer medium to the storage means (20); excess heat is released in the heat exchanger (40). If, on the other hand, it is necessary to preheat the cold mould, the heat is released from the storage means (20); if this quantity of heat is not sufficient, the heater (50) is switched on in addition.
