<p>A two-constituent sweet comprises chewing gum and gasified sugar. A sweet, having a water-activity of 0.1-0.3, comprises a chewing gum of moisture content 0.1-5% and of water-activity 0.1-0.3 and a gasified sugar of moisture content 1-5% and of water-activity 0.1-0.3. The product is esp. a bubble gum. When stored in moisture resistant material, it is stable to storage for over six weeks. Unlike gasified sugar alone, the light sensation persists. When normal gum is coated with gasified sugar it is not stable to storage.</p> |
