A flash-light attachment 3 is formed as a separate unit which is inserted into the camera in place of the cover for the battery chamber 1. In another form, the camera back is replaced by a flash-unit comprising lamp, battery, and reflector. This unit may be sealed by a fitted counter-piece and used independently of the camera. A further modification comprises an interchangeable pentaprism viewfinder which is replaced by a combined viewfinder and flash-unit.
