Smooth bore gun aiming strip - with width steadily increasing towards muzzle

The aiming strip improves aiming with smooth-bored competition and hunting guns, and is much larger at the muzzle end than at the breech. The width increases steadily over its length. The ideal width at the muzzle is 20mm for a gun 80cm long, and 3.3 times the width at the breech (6mm). Width at the muzzle decreases with the increase in gun length. The strip can be shorter or longer than the barrel to which it is fixed.
