Ozoniser supply circuit - with thyristorised rectifier and chopper circuit for transformer primary winding

The voltage supply for an ozonizer in the secondary circuit of a transformer includes a rectifier followed by a thyristorized chopper circuit in the primary winding circuit of the transformer. The chopper circuit is a bridge with two thyristors and two diodes in the four arms; the junctions between thyristor and diode are connected across the primary winding; the rectifier is connected to the junction between the thyristors and to a centre tapping of the primary winding. This is a simple way of making the cutting OFF operation of the thyristors, i.e. the duration of the conductive period, independent of the characteristics of the ozoniser.
