Discharge system of waste material is partic. for toilets in boats, having a discharge vessel underneath, with an outlet, and an inlet connected to the flush pan. A valve fits tightly agains the inlet edge so as to seal it off, and air is supplied from a compressor to the vessel so as to blow it clear via the outlet. The valve (7) is flexible and fixed at one side to the edge of the inlet (6), so that it can hang down into the vessel (1) when the latter is not under pressure. The compressed air pipe outlet (9) is close to the valve and so aimed that the emerging jet presses it into the shut position. |
