Work trolley for magnetic surfaces - with permanent ring magnets about non magnetic steerable wheels

The magnetic surfaces are covered by a special trolley with magnetic clamps around the wheels. The clamps comprise rings (16) of permanent magnet about the wheels. The wheels are covered with a non magnetic tyre (20) which can be flexible. The wheels are steered and driven. The trolley is used to travel over the surface e.g. ship's hull to carry out repairs (e.g. welding) and cleaning equipment. It can also be used to ferry loads along a deck. For improved clamping magnetic brushes are fitted between the rings and deck.
