<p>The method of embossing or burning a pattern into a wood panel, includes passing the panel under a heated rotating tool. A pattern is fitted to the tool which consists of complex projections which are measured so that fine detail can still be burnt into the material. The temperature of the tool during the burning on process is held at about 430 degrees C. A wood grain pattern may be applied to the tool and a modified carbon steel is used as the material for the tool. The projections have a depth of about 1.5 mm and the projections are impressed into the material up to about 0.6 mm.</p> |
