<p>A device to indicate the imminent birth of a foal to a mare, includes a strap (12) suitably protected against rubbing around its contact face, connected by a line (15, 17) to a switch. When the switch is operated due to tension in the line, a warning device is operated at a remote monitoring position. The line also incorporates a plug and socket (16, 18) so that it can be easily broken if the tension increases. Alternatively, a magnetic connection can be used instead. A snap action buckle connects the lower part (15) of the line with a ring (13) on the strap. A length adjustment fitting (27) can also be incorporated.</p> |
