<p>A string, e.g. for sports rackets or musical instruments, comprises a thermoplastic core with a coating of cured cationic lubricating agent and a second coating of thermoplastic resin around and bonded to the first. The core is pref. of nylon, polyester, fibreglass or aramid fibres twisted or braided together, and the second coatins is of nylon, and is surrounded by armour sheath of thermoplastics and a further coating of the resin and integrated with the sheath and second coating. The sheath is pref. a braid of spiral wrap.</p> |
