PURPOSE:To eliminate the consumption of a waste time used for the initialization of a main storage device by deciding the end of the initialization of the main storage device by a notice of a comparing circuit to a diagnostic processor. CONSTITUTION:A diagnostic processor 4 sets data required for initializing a main storage device 3 to a command code register 201, a store address register 202 and a store data register 203 by using a shift bus 401, and sets an initializing flag 220. When the initializing flag 220 is set, a request control part 200 informs continuously a store request, while allowing the store address register 202 to step by a counting circuit 204 until a store address exceeds the capacity of the main storage device 3 by a comparing circuit 211. Subsequently, when a notice from the comparing circuit 211 is given to the diagnostic processor 4, the diagnostic processor 4 decides that the initialization of the main storage device 3 is ended. In such a way, waste of time for the initialization is eliminated. |
