<p>The trolley wire insulator housing (7) serves to tension the feed wire (1) to an earthed bearer rope (4). The housing contains a tensioning spring (6) which is normally and by intact feed wire, tensioned as far as a stop (10). Should the feed wire break, the spring tension is relieved causing a push rod to close a warning circuit (15, 16, 17). The isolation housing has a connecting eye (8) for the earthed rope. The spring is coiled around a piston rod and tensioned between the housing end and a piston plate (9).</p> |
