The outer surface of an element made by the above method may be smooth or slightly roughened and the core be of an inexpensive, easily machinable metal or alloy e.g. Duralumin (Registered Trade Mark). Examples include implantation blade collars, screws, wickers, needles, blades and grates driven into suitable seats previously formed in a maxilla or jaw bone for the support of teeth, dental bridges or complete dentures.
