The handle coupling piece is for use on inserted tools, particularly drill bits. It carries an elastic distorting annular locking member (17), whose eye (24) fitting over the coupling piece has a first zone (25) forming the ineffective position of the member, and a second one (26) forming the effective one, in which the parts of the tool are secured in placed. There can be ridge-type protrusions (27) separating the zones from each other, and also an endless groove in the outside, accommodating a clamping ring. This holds a locking pin in position, protruding into the second zone.
