<p>A seat belt holding an occupant onto a seat in a vehicle is fitted with an additional release device so that the occupant can be freed by a rescuer in the event of an accident. In some cases, the normal attachments are inaccessible to the rescuer. This additional device consists of a pin which can be inserted from either side of the belt through interlocking sets of loops attached to two ends of the belt at a more suitable location.</p> |
