<p>The system stores low-calorific heat in water, by means of a natural water basin, lake or artificially-excavated well, shut off at the top by a horizontal insulating wall (6). This leaves a layer of water above it in which a good underwater environment can be formed, for use in recreation or as a nature reserve. The weight of the wall can be such that it, together with support plate, fittings and earth for the biological environment virtually floats in the water. The effect of external forces and weight can be absorbed by a correction system maintaining the wall at the correct level. Contact with ground water can be prevented by a sheet underneath, on which a thick layer of earth is placed to give the necessary heat insulatin.</p> |
