Carburettor with sliding throttle - uses throttle slide displacement to alter fuel flow cross=section

The throttle valve consists of two slides with concave inner edges. One slide is twice as thick as the second slide in order to overlap when closing the entrance neck. The side edges of both slides are provided with a rack engaging with pinions fitted to the slide guides. The slides are regulated by a pull wire to move in opposite directions to each other. A fuel spray tube passes through a suitable boring in the first slide. A spring surrounds part of the spray tube and is tensioned between slide and guide. The spray tube enters an aligned boring in the second slide to terminate in the air intake neck slide extension.
