<p>The machine used differentiation for removing branches and twigs, and for cutting the ground grain ready for new planting, is pulled behind a tractor, and operates with a beating and cutting action. At the top of a hood shaped housing is a row of rotary toothed cutting blades (3) with guide sheets (4) between shells. In the spaces between, are collector rods (6) which are retracted by springs (17), independently when an obstacle on the ground is met. These rods slope rearwards and are supported by bearing members. The metal frame is parallel to, and a short distance above the ground in the region of these rods, then slopes upwards to the rear.</p> |
