<p>The bearing unit for fastening the seat plate and backrest to a support stand comprises two bearing parts, where one is fastened to the stand and the other to the seat. One part is a casing box (10) and the other a lid (11) which fits over the box. The side walls (19, 20, 51, 52) of the lid engage so far over the side walls of the box that the casing remains a closed unit in all swivel positions so that there is never any danger of the user injuring his fingers. The casing contains the main articulated joint linking the two bearings parts together as well as the spring bias for the seat and the lock, which secures the seat in the desired position. The box and the lid preferably each have a basically rectangular base surface.</p> |
