<p>1406570 Fixation of disperse dyes on polyester materials HOECHST AG 8 Oct 1973 [7 Oct 1972] 46800/73 Headings D1B and D1L Polyester fibres or textile materials to which a disperse dye has been applied by padding or printing are sprayed with a solution or dispersion of a carrier to give a 5 to 50% by weight liquor pick-up followed by fixation of the dyes e.g. by using superheated steam at 140‹ to 190‹C, hot air at 170‹ to 220‹C or saturated steam at 100‹ to 110‹C. Conventional carriers are employed, the polyester fibres may be mixed with cellulosic fibres and reactive dyes may be employed. Alkali being applied for fixation of the reactive dye either with the carrier or afterwards. Apparatus used in spraying comprises two coplanar pulleys (1), an endless belt (2) with spraying nozzles (3), the material (4) being passed over guide pulleys (5) the whole being enclosed in chamber (6) having outlet (7) and discharge device (8).</p> |
