<p>1519730 Cutting tubes ARMSTRONG CORK CO 23 Dec 1976 [2 Feb 1976] 53894/76 Heading B4B An apparatus for cutting an elongate tube 4 to produce a plurality of spaced cuts extending incompletely through the wall of the tube comprises a rotatable mandrel 6 for supporting the tube, cutting discs 28 movable from an inoperative position to a cutting position and depth-of-cut limiting means 60 arranged so as to contact the surface of the mandrel when the discs have penetrated the wall of the tube to a desired depth. The cutting discs are secured to a shaft 30 mounted on arms (36, 38) Fig. 1 (not shown), for movement towards and away from the mandrel by a handle (50).
