<p>1489642 Boxes BAXTER TRAVENOL LABORATORIES Inc 7 March 1975 [25 April 1974] 9728/75 Heading B8P A prosthetic heart valve is packaged in a box comprising mating sections 10, 22, one of which contains resilient means 24 to receive the valve 14 which is held against the means 24 by a retainer 26. The retainer is free to rotate relative to the sections to prevent significant torque being applied to the valve when the box is opened or closed. As shown, the box has a screw-threaded connection between the sections 10, 22 sealed by an 0-ring 34. The retainer 26 is apertured to receive parts of the valve. An aperture 38 covered by a filter 40 permits sterilization in situ. Arrangements for a slightly differing form of valve are described with reference to Figs. 4-7 (not shown).</p> |
