1519234 Belt filter press SIMON-HARTLEY Ltd 15 April 1977 [5 May 1976] 18321/76 Heading BID A belt filter press comprises two endless filter belts which in one section of the press are brought together with suspension therebetween and which are guided round a plurality of rollers to follow a generally serpentine path, wherein at least one of said rollers (e.g. roller 13) is comprised by a plurality of axially extending circumferentially spaced bars 30 extending between the opposite ends of the roller. Slurry is applied to the belt 10 at 26 and the belt 10 may move across a perforated table 25 having a vibrator 27. Rollers 12 and 14 to 18 may be apertured. Solids may be removed by scrapers 33 and 34 onto a belt 35. The belts may be washed at stations 36 and 37. |
