An apparatus for preparing a cylindrical corrugated article, which apparatus includes a pair of forming rolls having corrugated surfaces which are drivingly interlocked for causing rotation of the rolls in opposite directions. A sheet material is fed between the rolls to cause corrugation thereof. Grooves extend circumferentially around one of the forming rolls, and ringlike guide plates extend circumferentially around the other forming roll, which guide plates have the fore ends thereof disposed within the grooves. These guide plates thus ensure that the corrugated sheet material is coiled around the other forming roll. A discharging device then coacts with the other roll for axially removing the cylindrical corrugated article therefrom. |
