<p>The connector fitting is for use between components of furniture, comprising a boss inserted in the one component and protruding from it to engage in a mating piece in the other. The protruding portion of the boss (1) is relieved at one or more points (1b), while the mating piece comprises a sleeve fitting round it and with lugs inclined towards the centre, pre-loaded against the boss. There can be two relieved portions (1b, 1c), one after the other, in the protruding part of the boss, whose external dia. can be approximately equal to the clear diameter of the sleeve. The lugs can be spaced round the sleeve periphery, and there can also be several of them one behind the other in the lengthwise direction of the sleeve.</p> |
