<p>A PROCESS FOR THE TREATMENT OF A LIQUID WASTE AND AN APPARATUS THEREFOR A process for the treatment of a liquid waste is provided which includes the steps of feeding the liquid waste into a heat exchange zone to heat the liquid waste by indirect heat exchange with a hot recycling liquid and to cool the hot recycling liquid, introducing the thus heated liquid waste into a concentration zone to concentrate the heated liquid waste under reduced pressure, introducing the concentrated liquid waste into a combustion zone to combust the concentrated liquid waste, thereby producing combustion products, introducing the combustion products into a contacting zone to contact the combustion products with a liquid in the contacting zone, introducing the vapor laden exhaust combustion gas emitted from the contacting zone into a heat recovery zone to bring the exhaust combustion gas into direct contact with the cooled recycling liquid introduced from the heat exchange zone and to heat the cooled recycling liquid, and introducing the heated recycling liquid into the heat exchange zone as at least a part of said hot recycling liquid,</p> |
